世界贸易组织（ＷＴＯ）脱胎于关贸总协定（ＧＡＴＴ）。关贸总协定成立于１９４７年,其历史使命是促进全球贸易自由化。经过八轮回合的谈判,已使世界贸易的关税水平大为降低,各种非关税壁垒措施大大减少。世界贸易组织是按照关贸总协定乌拉圭回合协议于１９９５年１月１日成立
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is born out of the GATT. Founded in 1947, GATT has the historic mission of promoting global trade liberalization.
