战争往往涉及到无数人的生命安全,影响某一地区的政治与安全格局,所以它总是新闻报道中的“宠儿”。在重大的跨国军事行动中,世界各大新闻机构经常是不惜血本,投入大量的人力和物力,以满足广大新闻受众的要求,并借此在激烈的新闻竞争中占据一席之地。 然而,各国新闻界并非对所有现代战争都给予一视同仁的重视,它们往往根据战争的规模、地点、影响力以及有无本国军队参与等诸多因素来决定报道的深度和广度。海湾战争、索马里救援行动和波黑内战都因联合国的直接干预和众多国家的参加而成为轰动一时的热门话题。而就阿富汗和黎巴嫩内战而言,由于后者的地理位置更显重要,因此西方媒介所给予的重视程度也远胜于前者。至于安哥拉内战和苏丹
The war often involves the lives and safety of countless people and affects the political and security pattern of a certain area. Therefore, it is always the “darling” in news reports. In major transnational military operations, the major news agencies in the world often devote substantial manpower and material resources to meeting the requirements of the majority of news audiences and thus occupy a place in the fierce news competition. However, the media in various countries do not give equal attention to all modern wars. They often determine the depth and breadth of their stories according to the scale, location, influence and the presence or absence of their own forces. The Gulf War, the Somali rescue operations and the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina have all become hot-hit topics due to the direct intervention of the United Nations and the participation of many countries. As far as the civil war between Afghanistan and Lebanon is concerned, the western media places more emphasis on the latter because of the more important geographical position of the latter. As for the civil war in Angola and Sudan
