2014年12月俄罗斯布克文学奖揭晓,弗拉基米尔·沙洛夫凭借书信体长篇小说《回到埃及》荣膺桂冠。该作品以20世纪历史事件作为背景,描写了知识分子的精神探索历程。果戈理家族的后裔们把续写《死魂灵》当作自己的人生目标,由此展开了他们在20世纪的不同命运轨迹。作者借用圣经情节,回顾俄罗斯20世纪的发展之路。本文通过分析作品的主要内容和情节,阐释沙洛夫新作《回到埃及》的主题特色。
In December 2014, the Russian Booker Prize for Literature was announced, and Vladimir Scharov was awarded the title of “Back to Egypt” by his epistolary novel. Based on historical events of the 20th century, this work depicts the spiritual exploration of intellectuals. The descendants of Gogol’s family continued to write “dead soul” as their own goal in life, thus launching their different fate in the 20th century trajectory. The author uses the Bible verses to review the development of Russia in the 20th century. By analyzing the main content and plot of the work, this article explains the theme of Shalof’s novel “Back to Egypt”.
