SINCE Tangbale blueschist was found in West Junggar of Xinjiang in 1983, its metamorphicage and tectonic significance have been discussed for a long time. However, no exact dat-ing has been done by now. In this note, we present the ~(40)Ar/~(39)Ar data of sodic amphibolesfrom the blueschists and discuss their possible geological significance.
