一、the same…
1. the same…常用作形容词,修饰名词,意为“同一个(人、物或地点)”。例如:
Li Tao and Zhao Ming are in the same class. 李涛和赵明在同一个班。
Meet me at the same time tomorrow. 明天在同一时间来接我。
2. the same还可用作代词,意为“同样的事”。例如:
He looked out of the window, and I did the same. 他朝窗外看了看,我也朝窗外看了看。
3. the same 与连系动词look连用,表示“看起来像”的意思。例如:
Sorry, Lily. You and your sister look the same. 对不起,莉莉,你和你妹妹看起来很像。
【特别提醒】same无论作哪一类词用,前面通常都要加定冠词the。
二、the same as 和 the same…as
这一句式常用于表示前后两个主语具有相同的某物,意思是“和……相同”。例如:
His bike is the same as mine. 他的自行车和我的相同。
I’ll buy the same computer as you bought last year. 我将买一台你去年买的那种电脑。
三、The same to you.
这一句式常用于回答对方的祝愿,通常是对公共节日的祝福,意思是“祝你也如此”。例如:
——Happy New Year to you! 祝你新年快乐!
——Thank you. The same to you. 谢谢你。也祝你新年快乐。
——Have a nice weekend!祝你周末愉快!
——The same to you. 也祝你周末愉快!
四、Thank you all the same.
这一句式常用于请求对方给予帮忙,而对方又无能为力,这时,请求帮忙者都用此语感谢对方,意思是“仍然谢谢你”。例如:

——Sorry. I’m new here. You’d better ask the policeman over there.
对不起,这儿我也不熟。你最好问问那边的那个警察。

这一句式常用于回复他人的选择性建议,意思是“对某人来说都一样(无差别或无所谓)”。例如:

——You can leave here now or wait until this afternoon.
你可以现在动身,也可以等到下午再走。
——It’s all the same to me. 对我来说都一样。
六、It’s all the same with sb./sth.
这一句式通常用来描述某人或某物与前句所述的情况相同或相似,意思是“就……来说情况也一样”。例如:
——Miss Zhao can speak good English and her written English is also beautiful.
赵小姐不但英语说得好,而且书写也相当漂亮。
——It’s all the same with her younger
sister. 她妹妹也一样。
七、in the same boat
in the same boat为习惯搭配,意思是“同舟共济”。例如:
Come on, we’re in the same boat. We must help each other. 来,我们可是处境相同,大家应该互相帮助。
