Overview of Advertising Market In 2012, Shanghai Advertising Monitoring Center monitored 104 major media in the city, including 31 newspapers, 25 television channels, 11 radio frequencies, 2 video media outlets, 15 websites and 20 internet inspections media. On a weighted basis, the major media outlets in the city continued to grow their advertising volume. There were 4.689 million advertisements published in the year, an increase of 33.4% over the previous year, which was higher than the increase of 10.7% in the previous year. Among them, the traditional media increased by 21.5% and the new media increased by 124.4%. In traditional media, the media coverage of newspapers and periodicals decreased by 13.4% and that of television media increased
