我区地处闽东北,背山面海,地形复杂,气候温暖.雨量充沛,具有季风的亚热带气候特点.土地总面积2269万亩,其中林地占62.07%,农用地占11.50%,草场面积(指300亩以上成片草场)占7.25%,村庄、河流、道路占19.12%.其土壤分布概况:海拔600～900米山地为黄红壤,300～700米丘陵山地为红壤,300米以下由红壤过渡砖红壤类型,沿海一带还有滨海风砂土和盐土土壤.天然草场的类型我区草场植被种类繁多,经鉴定查明牧草及伴生植物,共88科,310种,其中禾本科66种,占21.29%,豆科16种,占5.16%,莎草科8种,占2.58%,菊科32
