意大利前卫艺术家卡努在1911年提出,“电影是三种时间艺术和三种空间艺术的综合,这三种时间艺术是:诗歌、音乐、舞蹈;三种空间艺术是:建筑、绘画、雕刻。因此,电影是第七艺术。”电影既是时间的艺术,也是空间的艺术。电影空间一是场景空间,处理对布置场景时的成本、材料、方式和周期问题;二是银幕空间,也是文章的研究范畴,主要研究银幕上塑造的画面构图、光色、层次等艺术问题。而从情感传达的角度来看,银幕空间造型不只是为了营造空间的真实感和美感,更重要的为了突出主题,塑造角色,增强感染力。出于影片情感传达的需要,利用银幕空间实施分隔、两极、并置和拓展造型方式,经由时间的作用,引导观众注意力集中于故事,追随拍片者设计的艺术企图,使观众产生“感同身受”的情感共鸣。如此一来,银幕空间的造型不再是静态、单一的显性视觉处理,而是动态、复合的隐性情感传达。

As a result, the shape of the screen space is no longer a static, single dominant visual processing, but dynamic, complex hidden emotional communication.
