There is a lion in a forest. Every day he goes out to look for food. The small animals in the forest are all afraid of him.
Not far from the forest there are four bulls（公牛）. They are good friends，and often go out together. The lion tries many times to catch them，but cannot do so. Every time he comes near，the four bulls stand together to fight with（与……战斗） him. So he can do nothing to them.
One day the bulls have a quarrel. After that each of them goes his own way（单独行动）. When the lion sees this，he is happy. He catches one bull and eats him up. Then he catches another. One by one he catches all the four bulls and eats them up.
Once upon a time there lived a deer，a monkey and a hare on a hill. One day they found a little peach（桃） tree. They took good care of it，watering it，applying fertilizer（施肥） to it and loosening the soil（松土） for it.
One year later，there was no flower or no fruit. The monkey lost his heart and would not like to work on it any more.
Two years went by，the peaches were unfit（不适宜） to eat. So，the hare lost his heart and left too.
The deer didn?蒺t give up. He decided to stay there and go on working on it，grafting（嫁接），getting rid of the insects（除虫） and applying more fertilizer to it. Three years passed，the deer?蒺s hard work was rewarded（得到回报）. Lots of big peaches were hung on the tree.
The monkey and the hare were invited to eat peaches. They were both happy and ashamed（害羞）. From then on，they worked together and helped each other and the slope（山坡） was covered（被覆盖） with peach trees.
