Sexism could be found in many aspects of life, and language use is one of these aspects. Since 1960s, feminists strive for the elimination of gender discrimi-nation, for the greater recognition of women's contributions to society. Many fields around the world have been, or are being, affected by this movement, and one of im-pacts is on language. This paper talks about sexism in the aspect of language use mainly focusing on affixation, professional title and word order. By analyzing the sexism in language use, this paper aims to attract attention to the sexism in language learning and gives a few ways to avoid sexism in language use.
