A novel superacid catalyst, SO-4+{2-}/Zr|ZSM|11, was prepared by sulfation of the Zr|ZSM|11 zeolite, which was synthesized from silica|zrconium|TBAOH|H-2O system by hydrothermal method, with aqueous solution of 0.5 mol/L H-2SO-4 followed by calcination at 550 ℃ for 3 h in air. The catalyst was characterized by XRD, SEM , IR and TG; the acid strength of the catalyst was measured by Hammit indicators. It is shown that SO-4+{2-}/Zr|ZSM|11 conserves the crystal structure of ZSM|11 zeolite with an acid strength of -13.75.
