In 2001, Indian non-governmental human rights organization PUCL filed a lawsuit against the government on the right to food. Although the case has not yet been finalized, the Supreme Court of India issued numerous interim orders asking the government to implement a series of plans to safeguard the right to food. The case has the characteristics of paying attention to the underprivileged, paying attention to the implementation of supervision, taking legal action against social activities and paying attention to the state's obligation to fulfill the right to food. The case not only has a tremendous impact both at home and abroad in India, but also has some reference to China's guarantee of the right to food.
