工业战线上沸腾的斗爭生活,需要在我们的戏剧舞台上有深刻的反映。我们在这方面做得还是很不够的,创作和演出都还比较少,远远不能满足需要。最近在成都举行的西南区话剧、地方戏会演中,重庆市话剧团演出了两出反映工业题材的新戏:《比翼高飞》和《劳动万岁》,看了真使人高兴。这两出戏比较深刻地反映了当前工业战线上的斗爭生活,成功地塑造了几个工人的形象,可以说是我们话剧创作中可喜的新收获。《比翼高飞》选取了两个皮革工厂之间开展比学赶帮超运动的一段故事,严肃地批判了高厂长骄傲自满、故步自封的思想;热情地歌颂了周海东不断革命的精神。它有力地告诉人们,要永远记住毛主席的教导:“虛心使人进步,骄傲使人落后”,才能在工作中有所创造,有所前进。《劳动万岁》写的是工程师魏文波跟班劳动以后,在老工人的帮助下,克服了知识分子患得患失的心理,思想上飞跃前进。这两个戏在思想上和艺术上 The bubbling struggle life on the industrial front needs to be profoundly reflected in our theatrical scene.
