From the perspectives of the archeological excavations of China, Japan and South Korea, Shandong's earliest outbound route should be from Shandong Peninsula to Liaodong Peninsula, then southward along the west coast of North Korea and finally to Kyushu in the south of Japan. In the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, 5,000 children headed east to North Korea to establish an ancient North Korea. The main members of this group should be Shandong. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the Taoist ideology and the prevalence of the Yin and Yang Five Elements in Shandong Province promoted the activities of people in Shandong coastal areas seeking immortality overseas and eventually contributed to the eastward transition of Xufu Group. Early Shandong people went abroad to make contributions to the development and progress of Japan and North Korea.
