1997年5月,弥渡县政府委托省电力局滇西电业局代管该县电力公司,各项管理工作与省电网接轨,并在代管局的指导、帮助下,在全县首家推行了劳动、人事、工资三项制度改革,使企业焕发了新的活力。代管当年,即1997年,县公司便实现利润96万元,1998年县公司实现利税352万元,利税分别比1997年增长34％、51％。售电量、线损降低率、电费回收率等经济指标均显著提高。
