近20年来,关于上海城市史和建筑史的研究极其繁盛,众多成果又可大致分为几个类型:第一类是对上海、租界或某一区域展开宏观研究,如《上海近代建筑风格》、《上海百年建筑史》、《百年回望:上海外滩建筑与景观的历史变迁》等;第二类关注幻化的都市现象,抑或从某一特殊视角进行剖析,如《上海摩登》、《Art Deco的源与流》、《文化适应与中心转移——近现代上海空间变迁的都市人类学研究》等。值得注意的是,近年上海建筑研究越来越有“聚焦”的倾向,或着眼于某个单体建筑,或研究都市演进某个时段的特殊事件,继而牵扯出隐匿其后的时代背景及人文情怀。由于聚焦,此类研究往往能以更翔实的史料揭示更丰满而真实的历史——不同于宏观叙事的历史,《都市遗产的保护与再生:聚焦外滩》就是这样一本论丛。 In the recent 20 years, the research on the history of Shanghai’s urban architecture and architecture has been extremely prosperous, and many achievements can be broadly divided into several types.
