今天，就连偏僻的社区也可能意识到他们有权受益于（或抵制）当地自然资源的开发和随之而来的经济与社会变革．除其它关注外，这些社区还想得到关于最大限度减少环境影响的再次保证．给出了一些以对社会更负责的发展为目标的采矿公司计划实例．
Even remote communities today may realize that they have the right to benefit (or resist) the development of local natural resources and the consequent economic and social changes that ensue. Among other concerns, these communities also want renewed assurances about minimizing the environmental impact. Some examples of planned mining companies that target more socially responsible development are given.
