“中国现代文学史”以不言自明的时间逻辑,获取了文学史长河中1917-1949这一个时段的管辖权,却以经意识形态过滤的“现代”标尺清除异己,把许多重要的文学现象排除在文学史体系之外。现行的文学史通过贬低晚清白话文运动,省略同时代非“新文学圈”作家的贡献,漠视北洋政府的作为,来建构新文学的发生地图,达到纯化、神化新文学发生史的效果。把现代文学史笼罩在新文学的霸权话语下,以新文学的“独家逻辑”来阐述1917-1949的文学发展,文学史多元共生的格局被肢解、简化,最终使得文学史的叙述仅仅成为一家之言。
