Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignancies in our country and is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths. In recent years, the incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer showed a trend of increasing year by year. Abnormal activation of PI3K / Akt / mTOR signaling pathway plays an important role in the development of colorectal cancer. Among them, Akt acts as an intermediate signaling molecule of this pathway and plays a crucial role in such events as protein synthesis, cell metabolism, cell proliferation and differentiation, anti-apoptosis and angiogenesis. This review summarizes the role of Akt signaling molecules in the development and progression of colorectal cancer and the prognosis and survival of colorectal cancer.
