Internet的迅速发展和逐步商用化使得在 Internet中实现服务质量的分级和保证成为网络通信的研究热点。目前所提出的一些解决方案中前景最好的是 IETF( InternetEngineering Task Force)在 1998年 10月提出的 Differenti-ated Services体系模型。论文综述了 Differentiated Services体系模型的背景、原理、特征 ,并与其它实现机制进行了比较 ,并对其实现机制也进行了一定的讨论。论文认为由于Differentiated Services体系模型将许多复杂的控制移到网络边界 ,简化了网络内部处理 ,从而具有良好的可扩容性 ,将成为下一代 Internet体系模型的框架。
The rapid development of the Internet and its commercialization have made the classification and assurance of service quality in the Internet a hot research topic in network communications. The best prospects for some of the solutions proposed so far are the Differentiated Services Model proposed by the Internet Engineering Task Force in October 1998. The paper summarizes the background, principle and characteristics of the Differentiated Services system model, compares with other implementation mechanisms, and discusses the implementation mechanism of Differentiated Services. The dissertation holds that the Differentiated Services model will move to the network boundary as a result of many complex controls, simplifying the internal processing of the network, and thus have good scalability and will become the framework of the next generation Internet system model.
