后现代主义是西方文化传统的结果,也是信息时代的产物,呈现出一种反文化、反美学的倾向。真理、中心、崇高等等都如明日黄花,所有的终极价值都只能是文本世界中的“宏伟叙事”。法国新小说胎动于这样的精神氛围下,它的出现在某种程度上标志着文学上一个旧的时代的终结。新小说的文本明显带有后现代主义的标记,表现为深度模式削平、历史意识和主体性丧失,复制所导致的距离感消失。虽然新小说本身有许多值得质疑之处,但它毕竟提供了一种极富启发性的文学范式。
Postmodernism is the result of the Western cultural tradition as well as the product of the information era, showing a tendency of anti-culture and anti-aesthetics. The truth, the center, the loftiness and so on are like the yellow flower of the future. All the ultimate value can only be the “grand narrative” in the textual world. In a spirit atmosphere like this, the appearance of French novel novels shows to some extent the end of literature in an old era. The text of the new noel is clearly marked by postmodernism, manifested in a flattening of the depth model, loss of historical awareness and subjectivity, and the loss of distance caused by copying. Although the new novel itself has many questions to ask, it provides an inspiring literary paradigm, after all.
