FOLLOWING the study of Roedder et al., boiling fluid inclusions are identified in oil reservoir ofQaidam Basin. This paper reports the general characteristics of the boiling fluid inclusions, analyzes theconditions for the formation water to boil at low temperature, and discusses the relation between the boiling process and the oil/gas accumulation. 1 General features Boiling fluid inclusions are minute records of the immiscibility process of subterranean hydrothermalfluids, which are generally composed of different types trapped simultaneously. They are observed mostlyin magmatic hydrothermal mineral deposits. In sedimentary basins, the boiling process was only found inMVT. The discovery of boiling fluid inclusions in Qaidam Basin is of great significance to broadening
