Twenty-first Century: A New Era of World Economic Globalization Economic globalization is a new system of international relations and a highly general overview of the general trend of economic development in the contemporary world. Economic globalization includes globalization in production, finance and science and technology. The development of production determines the development of finance and science and technology. Therefore, the major feature of economic globalization is globalization of production. Judging from the historical development of the world, before the beginning of the sixteenth century and before World War II, the world economy was characterized by the predation of colonial countries over the colonial and semi-colonial manpower and natural resources.
