Bel Canto是流行于十七、十八世纪意大利的一种发声方法和演唱风格,其中的男声分为三个声部,即男高音、男中音和男低音。当时的歌剧演出已经形成了一整套声乐等级制度,即第一主角必是由阉人歌手来扮演的女高音;第二主角则是女高音或女低音,其间也是阉人歌手居多;第三类的配角才轮到男声各声部扮演,而男声各声部的“命运”也不尽相同。本文将尝试对这种声乐等级制度的成因进行简要分析。
