The historical novels that flourished in the 1960s embraced the writers’ attention to the realities, but they also led to serious political struggles. Chen Xianghe’s “Tao Yuanming wrote” elegy “as the first of its kind for this period, it is our unshirkable responsibility to be criticized. The reason is that the criticism is ”used by me" out of context for the author on the one hand and the misunderstanding is caused by the fact that the critic does not take into account the author’s inner environment when combining the historical context of the text. However, the fundamental reason for this is the need of a political struggle in the context of a specific era. This is a taunt to history.
