钛及钛合金具有比重小、强度高、耐腐蚀性能好以及良好的稳定性等优点,近年来已在国内外航空、宇航、舰艇、食品等工业中得到应用。 由于钛及其合金又具有对人体组织反应轻微等优点,因此近年来也广泛应用于人工关节的制造上。人工关节在体内要保留多年,而且经常处于摩擦运动状态,由于人体内体液的影响,人工关节是在腐蚀性介质中工作的,所以材料的耐磨性和耐腐蚀性能是一个十分值得重视的问题。
