前田光繁,抗日战争中第一个参加八路军的日本人,以他为首的7名日本人创建了当年八路军根据地内第一个日本反战组织——日本士兵觉醒联盟。他还帮助建立了我军第一个航校——东北航空学校。现在,前田光繁已经是90岁高龄,但是,他仍时刻关注着中国,经常参加各种中日友好活动和反战活动。因为被日本右翼政府认为是“危险的赤化分子”,前田回日本后一直没有找到合适的工作,直到80岁还在烧锅炉。当笔者提出,建议中国有关方面给他一些生活补助时,前田急乎乎地说:“可不能,可不能,中国已经给我很多很多,我只能感谢中国,哪能伸手要什么?我反对,我反对……”靠退休金过日子的前田,生活一直很简朴,但只要遇上有关抗日战争的书刊,不管多贵他也要买。前田好友的儿子小林阴吉对笔者说:你别看前田老爷子这么大岁数,谁要说一句中国的坏话,他就跟谁急眼!
