淮北发电厂~#5、~#6炉系东方锅炉厂早期生产的DG670/140—4型超高压中间再热燃煤锅炉,配200MW汽轮发电机组,分别于1981年12月和1982年11月投产运行。~#6炉运行1203小时后,高温再热器在30天内连续四次发生爆管事故,其中两次属超温爆管,一次属安装焊口泄漏,一次为管子焊接的定位焊件焊缝咬边泄漏。有21根管因氧化严重和壁厚减薄而闷死;另有80根管用耐火塑料包复。同期检查发现~#5炉运行7132小时后,高温再热管出现大面积氧化现象,在每排下端向火面沿高度4m范围内,尤以1.5m范围更为严重。
