The pulsed Nd: YAG solid state laser has a high power density sufficient to enhance the effect of the beam on the metal. In fact high power density can heat, melt or gasify all materials. Thermal energy is delivered evenly and precisely to the processing zone via pulsed Nd: YAG solid-state lasers. Due to the high power density of such lasers it is especially suitable for processing highly reflective and high temperature resistant materials. Obviously, there are many unique advantages to using materials for processing: - small thermal effects and no thermal deformation of the material. - Can be processed in hard-to-reach places (by beam steering coupling mirrors or optical waveguides). - Can be processed behind the glass or in a protective gas chamber, in a vacuum or in a liquid. - Tool wear free.
