Stealing is a mental illness, uncommon in real life, rare in literary works, and far from scientific research. Research suggests that stealing is associated with childhood trauma to patients and its treatment is complex and prone to relapse. According to American psychologists, nearly two decades of medical practice have proved that “Admit and Promise therapies ” have significant effects on trauma and related mental disorders. The Triple Self Theory under this therapy provides a useful interpretation of Sasha’s image in the 2011 “The Villain Invasion” by the Pulitzer Prize Novel.
