中国稻作科学技术会议于10月7日至12日在湖北武昌召开。参加会的有中共中央农村工作部、农业部、中国农业科学院及所属地区(省)农业科学研究所、高等农业院校的负责同志、专家、教授等130余人。苏联、朝鲜、越南等兄弟国家均应邀派代表团出席了会议,并在大会上作了报告。会议自始至终表现了社会主义兄弟国家之间的深厚友谊和相互学习的精神。在这次会议上,我国的农业科学家宣读的有丁颖院长“中国栽培 China Rice Science and Technology Conference was held in Wuchang, Hubei Province from October 7 to 12.
