近二十余年来,火焰光度计应用在钾、钠的分析工作中在很大的程度上有效地代替了化学分析。关于这方面的工作,前人们曾作过不少试验,如Biffen,West,Mosher曾用缓冲液或补偿离子溶液做过水或石灰岩中测定钾、钠及钙的研究工作;池田重良、石田良平用火焰激发进行了铝合金或岩石中测定碱金属的研究;Kuemmel在生铁中测定了钾、钠及钙;和也曾在土壤中测过钾。这些文献都给予我们很多启发,不过,因为仪器性能不同,试验条件及干扰影响亦不一致,再者他们大都用
