吴鼎昌,字达诠,原籍浙江吴兴,1884年出生于四川绥定(今达县)。吴鼎昌的金融生涯,最初可追溯到大清银行任职。1911年8月,经大清银行总监叶景葵介绍,进入大清银行任总务科长,不久转任江西分行总监。大清银行停业后,任筹组中国银行监督。1917年被推举为盐业银行总经理,1921年到1922年在吴鼎昌的倡导下,盐业银行与金城、中南、大陆四银行达成联营,成立四行联营准备库,在此基础上,成立四行储蓄会。
Wu Dingchang, the word Da Quan, the origin of Zhejiang Wu Xing, was born in 1884 in Suining, Sichuan (now Da county). Wu Dingchang’s financial career, dating back to the Qing Bank office. In August 1911, with the introduction of Ye Jingkui, director of Da Qing Bank, he entered the Qing Bank as chief of general affairs and soon became the director of Jiangxi Branch. After the bank was closed, Qing Bank was supervised by the Bank of China. 1917 was elected as the general manager of the Salt Bank, 1921 to 1922 in Wu Dingchang’s initiative, the Salt Bank and Jincheng, South Africa, the mainland four banks to form a joint venture to set up four lines of joint preparation pool, on this basis, the establishment of four Bank savings.
