Most of the poem is inter-bank verse, the rhythm of the poem is soothing and free, just like prose. However, this kind of randomness has some restraint and convergence, controlled by the number of fixed syllables per line and the fixed number of lines per stanza. There is degree of freedom, change in temperance, and echoes with the snail’s slow forward. From the very beginning, the images describing the snail and its surroundings are more objective, while the latter half turn to the poet’s subjective imagination. Snails slowly move in the darkness, which must contain some kind of invisible, mysterious and enormous power. The poet did not directly put forward what kind of power, so readers can rely on their own understanding and imagination to interpret the snail’s power can also promote your progress?
