阎福兴是辽宁兴城市文联副主席、中国音乐家协会会员。因为他经常参与国家相关部门组织的环保公益事业活动,所以被誉为“环保博士”。他具有用指哨与鸟对话的绝技,也被人们亲切地称为“鸟博士”、“鸟叔叔”。今年50多岁的阎福兴,是中央电视台《曲苑杂谈》特邀演员,中国著名绝活表演艺术家。他不但能用手指模仿多种鸟鸣声,还能用手指吹奏乐曲,并能熟练吹奏十数种民族吹奏乐器。在第二届中华绝技大赛中,他技惊四座,以新颖、出色的表演获得金奖。近年来,阎福兴曾代表文化部先后出访过日本、韩国、美国、也门、卡塔尔、拉脱维亚等亚洲、欧洲、北美洲十几个国家。在进行文化艺术交流的同时,他也不忘对异国的民族乐器进行研究,尽可能把那些精美的、极具当地民族特色的乐器带回中国。如果说阎福兴喜欢收藏乐器,不如说他喜欢收藏具有异国情调的文化。 Yan Fuxing is Liaoning Xing City Federation of Literary Vice-chairman, member of Chinese musicians association.
