This paper argues that from the very beginning, the British female novels follow the creative principle of realistic literature and take the theme of human nature as an artistic expression of the situation and mentality of a particular era, a particular society and a specific person, and examining the fate of women from the perspective of women. Therefore, from the Victorian era, British female writers, whether depicting the external world or the human inner world, often take the consciousness of women’s self-consciousness and social criticism as the kernel, thus creating the realism in English female novels Tradition.
