The Japanese writer Tian Shan Hua Dai has tentatively tried a style of writing between the first person and the third person in the novel “Quilt,” thereby demonstrating the masculine psychology of having the desire of a female student but suppressing it. 14 years after the publication of The Cotton Quilts, the Chinese writer Yu Dafu published a collection of novels, “Degradation,” and the novel “Degradation” contained in it narrated the sexual depravity of a Chinese student with a similar narrative approach. This article tries to analyze and compare the narrative methods and narrative contents of the two texts so as to make clear the new narrative patterns created by the two novels and then re-confirm their historical status in the history of the novels of the two countries.
