“屹屹千年塔,荒荒四面城。故宫禾黍满,牧野又催耕。”这首《塔子城》是文海作于民国初年的诗作。佛塔犹立,古城已荒,断壁残垣,野草蔓蔓,在寒风中、夕阳下显得格外荒凉,历史兴亡之感也油然而生。历经千年的风霜与战火,塔子城这座千年古城已经失去了它原有的样貌。如今人们提起塔子城,首先想到的便是它优美的自然风光、成群结队的牛羊、蕴含商机的农粮集散地,又有谁能记得它是一座拥有千年历史的辽金古城呢?
