The Song of Naive and Experience is a collection of poetry by British romantic poet Blake. His poetry is vivid and philosophical, considered to be the most unique and complex poet in British history. In his poem, the poet uses “devilish wisdom” to describe to us the two opposite states of soul, that is, naive state and experience state. This article intends to use the conceptual metaphor in cognitive poetics to analyze Blake’s poetry collection and explore the deeper connotation and significance of the poetry collection so that the reader can understand the practical significance of the two conflicting soul states described by the poet.
