交通工程 同家“九五”重点建设项目,西南地区又一条一级干线铁路——内昆铁路全线铺通。内昆铁路北起四川省内江市,南至云南省昆明市,全长872公里。其中北段内江至安边、南段贵州梅花山至昆明于20世纪60年代建成。这次新修建的中段起点为云南省水富县,终点为梅花山车站,全长358公里,途经四川、云南、贵州3省的宜宾、昭通、毕节、六盘水等4地市的10个县。同时对宜宾至水富段进行电气化改造,扩建六盘水铁路枢纽。1998年6月,这一铁路中段及相关工程正式动工,总投资120亿元,由铁道部和云南、四川、贵州3省出资建设。新建线路实现电气化后,最大区段货流量密度为每年1400万吨,客车每日8对。内昆铁路的建成,将对完善西南路网布局,实施西部大开发战略,促进西南地区和国民经济的发展,加快沿线人民脱贫致富,增强民族团结具有重要意义。 9月10日,随着武昌至广州电气化铁路正式开通使用,全长2300公里的京广铁路电气化改造工程全面完成。该线是目前中国铁路最长的双线电气化铁路。至此,我国电气化铁路营运里程已突破16万公里。

In June 1998, the middle section of the railway and related projects were officially started with a total investment of 12 billion yuan, funded by the Ministry of Railways and Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou provinces. After the electrification of the newly built circuit, the maximum section cargo flow density is 14 million tons per year and the bus is 8 pairs daily. The completion of the Neijiang-Kunming Railway will be of great significance in improving the layout of the southwestern road network, implementing the strategy of large-scale development of the western region, promoting the development of the southwestern region and the national economy, speeding up the people in poverty along the line and enhancing national unity. September 10, with the Wuchang to Guangzhou electrified railway officially opened to use, a total length of 2,300 km Jing-Guang Railroad electrification project fully completed. This line is currently the longest double-track electrified railway in China. So far, China's electrified railway operation mileage has exceeded 160,000 km.
