The rolling tongue is a kind of voice formed by the tip of the tongue and the post-accent posture of the tongue. From an acoustic point of view, the volume of the third formant is significantly reduced if the rolling tongue is voiced or vowel. The rolling tongues appear less frequently in the world languages, and only about 11% of the languages use this tone to stop the sings. The Chinese curl-tone class has both consonants and vowels, which are roughly divided into north and south according to geography. There are many curl-tongues in the north, but less curl in the south. An in-depth analysis of the co-occurrence of the two curl sounds may reveal a covariant relationship between the two.
