“高淀粉”由农林水产省农业研究中心育成,原名关东97号。1978年九州试验场以高淀粉,高产、抗病虫为育种目标,将具淀粉利用率高、抗病虫基因的CS7279-19G做为母本与CS69136-33进行杂交。1983年进行区域试验。株型匍匐型,叶、顶叶及茎、节均为绿色,叶缘单缺刻浅裂。薯皮淡红褐色,薯肉黄白色,形状为上膨纺锤型。强抗根瘤线虫,强至稍强抗枯萎病,中抗立枯病,弱抗南根腐线虫。耐贮性同金千贯。淀粉利用率达30%(一般为
