Objective To investigate the effects of continuous subcutaneous infusion of insulin (CSII) on the function of islet B cells in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients. Methods Forty cases of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients with fasting blood glucose (FPG) ≥11.1mmol / L and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) ≥9% were given 2 weeks’ strict glycemic control. Before and after treatment, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and 75g glucose load insulin and C-peptide and other indicators. Results After short-term subcutaneous infusion of insulin therapy, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and other indicators decreased significantly, fasting and postprandial insulin levels, C-peptide levels were significantly higher than before treatment, the differences were. Conclusions For newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients, short-term subcutaneous infusion of insulin can better control blood sugar, improve and restore islet B cell function.
