我们看到,随着社会的发展,特别是科学和技术的发展,多种艺术形式已经越来越显示出它们不仅仅是一些娱乐的工具,而且是具有更大的欣赏性和研究性的作品。从另一个角度说,我们“思想”的视野也日益扩大,深入到社会生活的方方面面,深入到各个艺术部类的内在特性,从而各艺术部类已不仅仅是大众的单纯娱乐方式,而且也逐渐成为哲学家,文人学士思考、理解、研究的“对象”。当代中国摄影对摄影家及其欣赏者来说,是一个不能忘怀又值得不断重温的存在。作为当代中国对梦想追寻的表意形式,它也完整地体现了当代中国摄影家的心路历程。因此,我们既可以把当代中国摄影看作是摄影家的心灵史,又可以把它看作是社会历史精神
