利用时域有限差分(FDTD)方法数值演示了一种能光学引导和聚焦激光的锥形空心银波导,数值模拟结果表明这种锥形空心银波导能把激光聚焦成一个极小的、直径只有1μm、强度高度局域性的光斑.对锥形波导能光学引导和聚焦激光的物理机理作了分析和探索,并进一步探讨了激光倾斜入射、波导几何结构对锥形波导聚焦特性造成的影响,这些研究结果对于锥形光学的应用、快点火或产生高能带电粒子中锥靶结构的最佳设计具有重要的参考价值.
A time-domain Finite Difference (FDTD) method is used to numerically demonstrate a tapered hollow silver waveguide capable of optically guiding and focusing the laser. The numerical simulation results show that the tapered hollow silver waveguide can focus the laser beam into a very small diameter 1μm, high intensity and local intensity spot.The physical mechanism of the optical guidance and focusing laser of the tapered waveguide is analyzed and explored, and the influence of the laser oblique incidence and the waveguide geometry on the focusing characteristics of the tapered waveguide is further discussed, The results of these studies are of important reference value for the application of conical optics, quick ignition or optimal design of cone target structures in high-energy charged particles.
