在我国现代化进程中,农村社会流动由不受人待见的“盲流”逐步演变成为引起广泛关注的社会洪流,农村教育的“去农化”功能空前凸显。随着农村青壮年倾巢而出式的社会流动出现,如何实现农村社会流动者从体力携带者向知识、技能携带者的智力流动转向,如何从单纯的流失性流动向流出与回流平衡转向就成为新的社会课题,它也为农村教育实现新的功能定位与功能转向提供了现实挑战和想象空间。农村教育通过促进社会流动而呈现的“去农化”功能经历了从潜在功能转向显性功能的变演后,越来越需要在“去农化”功能与培养农村新型建设者的“为农化”功能之间进行合理取舍,从而成为农村智力输出与智力回流的均衡器。
