Bible verses appear almost entirely in the Hebrew Bible. The semantic parallelism is a universal feature of Hebrew stanzas. In Hebrew poetry, there is a tending development that tends to be intensified. Such “horizontal” movements are often projected down to some kind of “vertical” movement through a series of poems and even a complete poem . This means that Hebrew poetry is focused on a dynamic process of moving toward some ultimate goal. There are two most common structures of Hebrew poetry. One is the continuously intensified movement of images, concepts and themes with the aid of a series of verses. The second is a narrative movement, most often in the development of metaphorical behavior. Hebrew poetry is not only a means used by Bible writers to reinforce or dramatize its religious perceptions, but is also a powerful shaping tool by which the inner truths contained in those feelings can be found.
