世界卫生组织（ＷＨＯ）与其它国际呼吸疾病组织联合宣布了一个五年计划，以期将儿童死于哮喘的人数减少一半。初始目标是减少每年发生的小儿可避免性哮喘相关死亡人数２５０００人。其它目标包括将儿童哮喘住院人数减少至少１／４，并将因此病造成的病儿旷课天数减少一半
The World Health Organization (WHO) and other international respiratory disease organizations jointly announced a five-year plan to reduce the number of children dying of asthma by half. The initial goal was to reduce the number of avoidable asthma-related deaths in children by 25,000 each year. Other goals include reducing the number of hospitalizations for childhood asthma by at least ¼, and halving the number of days of school sickness due to illness
