在过去的60多年中,加州一直用经验程序来设计普通混凝土路面。而NCHRP1-37a的问世则让加州开始由经验法向力学-经验法(M-E)转变。然而,来自NCHRP 1-37a软件的敏感性研究和加州运输部(Caltrans)的内部企业都指出:此时,要在设计人员中普及NCHRP 1-37a是不现实的。作为未来完全应用M-E法的第一步,Caltrans将会为常规设计开发一项目录,还会将该软件限制在专业、昂贵的项目中使用。通过使用NCHRP 1-37a软件将产生了庞大的因素,计算结果也会合成到目录表中。在对软件做了适当修改后,Caltrans将加州地区和其他地区(包括华盛顿州)现有的经验设计法作了比较,核对了该设计目录的合理性。
Over the past 60 years, California has been using empirical procedures to design ordinary concrete pavement. The advent of NCHRP1-37a led California to begin by the experience of law - mechanics - experience (M-E) change. However, both sensitivity studies from NCHRP 1-37a software and Caltrans internal companies point out that it is not practical to popularize NCHRP 1-37a among designers at this time. As a first step towards full application of the M-E approach in the future, Caltrans will develop a catalog for routine design and will limit the software to specialized, expensive projects. By using NCHRP 1-37a software will have a huge factor, the results will be synthesized into the table of contents. After making appropriate changes to the software, Caltrans compared the existing empirical design practices in the California region with those in other regions, including Washington, and checked the rationale for the design catalog.
