Ionizing radiation causes chromatin degradation in certain sensitive tissues. The formation of soluble chromatin is an important link in cell damage. Many scholars believe it is the biochemical basis for cell death in the interphase. We have previously reported soluble chromatin in mouse thymus. It is formed due to the degradation of chromatin between the nucleosomes, and its production is related to the irradiation dose. In order to investigate whether this change is a common law in the process of injury in various sensitive tissues, the changes of soluble chromatin content in mouse mesenteric lymph nodes and bone marrow cells were continuously observed and compared with changes in thymus.
